Hey everybody.

I recently started playing Warcraft 3 but I'm having some problems with learning how to play it. I've watched a few hours worth of replays from people who I would at least consider good (Lots of Micro, Macro unit choices ect.). But I'm still having trouble against even the computers on normal which is pretty sad.

One of the problems I notice most is I'm -trying- to play it like It's Starcraft or any other RTS which has obvious repercussions, but whenever I try to fight another computers army I always seem to lose I'm not sure if It's my unit choices or just failing at Micro (could be both?). I should of said that I'm a Human player also and usually start off by getting an Archmage any tips would be appreciated, thanks!|||It's probably the amount of units & the economy factor.

Turn on visible all so you know how much the computer has & when he comes for starters...cheating but you'll never learn by banging head against the wall.

Start on smaller maps...the larger the map the easier for the computer to rock you. The computers get double or four times the gold you get & start with like 20,000 gold I think ... it's been 7 years since I looked at the stuff in the beta.

Also, take out the computer's weak units first. The sure fire method is to only counter their attacks on your main base. Let expansions go unless they are up & fortified. When I started i'd either full out mass or out tech them for the win.
