Resolution problems

Hi folks

I am having problems changing the resolution in the game, here is what I play with:

HP laptop DV6 series 15.4''

Video Card: Gforce Go 7200

The problem is: I have a second monitor hooked up in my laptop (ViewSonic VA2012wb 21.5" WideScreen) which is the one that I use.

I already try to change the video setting to a differet resolution but neither there is the relosution desired (1680x1050) nor when I change to any different one, stays the same resolution always.

I already try the regedit setting, changing the reswidth and regheight to the desired values. However with no success.

How can I do to get the resolution that I want to play on my 21.5" WideScreen monitor?

• Does anything you do make a difference worse or better?


• Are you dinking around in widescreen mode? For whatever reason (cheap) blizzard games do not like this, you will take major hits in FPS for starters among other issues (I know most people don't know enough to tell the difference).


• Are you doing both screens active or shutting off the laptop screen while using monitor?


• One thing you're making us assume...does your windows run in the 1680x1050? (some people run desktop in one setting and games in another)


• Have you already gone on the manufacture's website for both the video card & the monitor? Does both sites specially list the resolution as possible (this is different than saying it can go to higher setting than what you picked)?


• Are you playing war3 in window mode or full screen?
