All my maps are gone

I was playing a downloaded map then I got a fatal error message then all my maps where gone.

So could any one help me?|||Did you check your recycle bin?

You could do a search in your hard drive for any file that contains the ".w3m" or ".w3x" file extension.|||my search program hasnt been working lately it just stops when i search something.|||There are probably other search utilities for Windows out there, but I have never had the need to look for them.

If nothing else, you could boot from something like a Linux-live disk and search from its utilities.|||Google Desktop is a really good searching program, and it should be free to download, just like google talk and other google programs. I highly recommend.
