How do a play Warcraft 3 multiplayer TCP/IP?

I am trying to do a mod that requires an altered war3_patch.mpq and battle.net doesn't allow it... How can I play TCP/IP and if not do I have any other multiplayer options?|||Okay, first of all, you don't have a clue what TCP/IP even means (it's a protocol that governs communication over the Internet).

Warcraft III only seems to have a Battle.net or Lan option, so isn't it possible to play via connecting to someone's IP or something... I heard of something called Lancraft that was suppose to do this.

Your last statement is 100% correct: LAN play only works if you are all on the same local network.|||Try GG-Client. It's a very good program for "fooling" warcraft into thinking you are playing over LAN.
