Hosting/Joining/Playing Warcraft III with a friend

[:1]Hi everyone, I had a question about playing on battlenet with a friend (it's not local so I can't use LAN).

Neither of us has been able to see each other's games at all. I go into Custom Games, Create Game, set the same of the "server", set the map and create game, leaving the slot open instead of a computer player. When he goes into the custom game and types the name of my game, it keeps coming up not found. I've already been into my router and put the port stuff in there but there is nothing.

Anyone have any suggestions? Or maybe I'm not in the right place, creating a game?
